Payload Umbilical Test Unit


ICM
The Payload Umbilical Test Unit (PUTU) is an element of the ICM spacecraft testing at Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington D.C. The PUTU also is used for launch support testing at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The PUTU simulates the ICM spacecraft for testing and verifying of the KSC T-0 umbilical for CITE tests at the Vertical Processing Facility, and for testing and verifying of the T-0 umbilical and PSEUDO T-0 umbilical at the Orbiter Launch Pad.
